Before joining the Department of Justice, Mr. Coody started his prosecution career at the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office in Topeka, Kansas, where he worked on cases related to domestic violence and the sexual assault of children.

His educational background includes a law degree from Washburn University School of Law in 2002 and an undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University in 1996.

Prior to attending law school, he served as a law enforcement officer with the Valdosta Police Department, first as a patrolman and later as a detective.
