Mr. Fowlkes, the new U.S. Attorney taking charge after DAK Kees resigned in January 2020. He has an impressive background, having served in various positions at the United States Attorney’s Office.

Before this new role, Mr. Fowlkes held the position of First Assistant United States Attorney, where he supervised both the Criminal and Civil Divisions.

During his time at the USAO, he was also the Coordinator for the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Unit, where he prosecuted various criminal cases. Notably, he received awards for his outstanding work on specific trials, including the U.S. v. Bernie Hoffman (Tony Alamo) case and the “Operation Great Scott” and “Operation Pantera Negra” OCDETF cases.

Prior to joining the USAO, Mr. Fowlkes worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Benton County, Arkansas, from September 2003 to December 2007. His education includes graduation from Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas School of Law.
